Department of Marine Technology, Persian Gulf University, started working in 1997 with the admission of undergraduate students, and then in 2012, the admission of students in the master's degree in Naval architectural engineering in the field of ship hydro mechanics began, respectively,
This group also started accepting students for the master's degree in Naval architecture engineering with a focus on ship structure in 2018.
The Department of Marine Technology of Persian Gulf University currently benefits from the activities of 5 faculty members.
So far, more than 553 undergraduate students and 34 postgraduate students have graduated from this group.
. Also, there are currently 130 undergraduate students and 48 postgraduate students.
In addition to training creative, professional and committed students, extensive scientific and industrial research is conducted every year by professors and students of the Department of Marine Technology at the Persian Gulf University in various fields.
This group includes a well-equipped set of specialized laboratories and workshops, some of which are named below.
Material Strength Laboratory, Casting Workshop, Welding and Sheet Making Workshop, Automechanical Workshop.
